Information about Exam Two

For the Communications exam, the student should be familiar with the skills:

  • vocabulary in context
  • main idea
  • detailed information
  • pronoun reference
  • classification

The vocabulary in the exam comes only from Reading Explorer 2, Units 1-4.

But the themes (topics) of the exam include:

  • Reading Explorer 2, Units 1-4
  • Pathways 2, Units 1-4

Directions to share your slideshow presentations to your blog

A. Did use Google Drive?     No? Go to B.1.
  1. Go to your presentation in Google Drive
  2. Click Share
  3. Click Get Sharable Link
  4. Copy the URL address (link)
  5. Go to a new post on your blog
  6. Add the link with the "Link" button
  7. Write a title of your presentation
You can also add a picture of your presentation.

B. Did you use PowerPoint?
  1. Go to drive.google.com
  2. Click New > Upload
  3. Upload your PowerPoint presentation
  4. Go up to A.1

Slideshow on Health

Make a slideshow presentation about health. Follow the directions below. Then upload it to your blog.

  • Use Pathways Unit 1 topics and vocabulary
  • Make three parts: diet, exercise, and traditional medicine or therapy
  • Make six slides (pages) (two slides for each part)
  • Use at least two vocabulary words from Pathways Unit 1 on each slide
  • Use adverbs of frequency of each part (for example: often, seldom, and three times week)

When done, download your slideshow as a PDF or pictures. Then upload it to your blog.

Photo shoot

With your phone or camera, take a picture of anything interesting (or not interesting) on campus. Upload the photo to a new post on your blog. Write a five-sentence paragraph describing the photo.

Remember to follow the standard paragraph structure: topic sentence, supporting sentences and examples, and a conclusion sentence.

How to upload from your phone? Two choices:

  1. Download the Blogger app to your phone and upload a photo directly from your phone.
  2. Or, email the photo from your phone to your email. Go to a computer and download the photo from your email. Go to Blogger, start a new post, and upload the photo.
